Here's our story.
MyCloud.my (a brand owned by Exitra Sdn Bhd) is part of the LGB Group of Companies. LGB Group is a large conglomerate of businesses across diverse industries such as highway management, waste management and so on. As a group, we serve clients of every size from nascent technology start-ups to large multinationals to governments.
Before MyCloud.my, each business unit in LGB Group used to either outsource its information technology management or form a small internal IT team to manage it. These approaches were met with varying degrees of success and disappointment.
We wanted a better way
LGB Group believed technology to be a great enabler, but the way we were not using it to it’s fullest potential. Wouldn’t it be better if there was a core team of experts managing and optimising our entire approach to information technology?
Thus, MyCloud.my was formed with one mandate – to fuel LGB Group’s growth by turning its IT infrastructure into a competitive advantage.
It may sound easy, but we knew we were in for a challenge.
Due to the diverse and demanding nature of the Group, it took us a while to determine the best processes and technologies to support both the Group as a whole and each individual business unit.
But we did.
Over time, we refined our processes, invested in better technology and hired the best talents to better support the Group’s business activities.
With MyCloud.my steadfastly managing the Group’s IT infrastructure, we expanded very quickly. No matter how busy the season or how complex the order, the Group knew that MyCloud.my had its back.
Today, LGB Group is among the most successful group of companies in Malaysia. We have first-hand experience of the power of IT and its ability to propel businesses forward. Based on that vision and to celebrate our success, the Group invested in a Grade A building in Kuala Lumpur. That building is called Menara LGB (or LGB Tower).
From the start, we wanted to be able to better serve all kinds of businesses, not only those of our Group. We also wanted to show our commitment to our belief that IT is the way forward.
What better way to do that than to invest in a state-of-the-art, premium data center?
Our IT experts at MyCloud.my started designing and building a state-of-the-art Tier 3 data center with the most modern data center architecture, advanced security systems and the latest network monitoring applications.
More importantly, we had a new mandate – do what we did for LGB Group for every other business out there.
And that’s what we’ve been doing.
